This is NOT about BP or the industry that has provided the many jobs that have helped drive our economy. This is about our jobs and industries being controlled or harmed via executive policies and the failure to get the Federal government out of the way of local problem solving.

As you well know, Louisiana's seafood and oil & gas industries have been, up to now, one of the last vestiges of capitalism and economic strength in the nation. These industries have allowed us to have less than half of the unemployment figures seen nationally under the Obama administration. This will change rapidly under this new drilling policy and other administrative policies regarding the challenging tasks at hand.

The federal government has used a tragic event, loss of life, and an environmental threat as their means of now implementing liberal policies to take control over our nations domestic energy. All the while, big government bureaucracies have impeded state and local clean up efforts as we attempt to aid our local fishing and tourist trades. Our economy will fail, and like the rest of this nation, we too will be struggling to make ends meet.

"You never want to let a good crisis go to waste" - Rahm Emanuel, Obama's White House Chief of Staff.

Neither do we! Let's be seen and be heard!
